In this film, we accompany the filmmaker on his journey from the High Pyrenees in France to Robinson Crusoe Island in Chile. It is the necessary distance to grieve for a friend. Back in Normandy, he meets Viernes, who seems to have always been waiting for her there. Together, they dig a hole in the earth of their island, read and dream. With the same language as in her previous films, Sophie Roger presents a transposition of the myth of Robinson Crusoe. It is a mysterious, tender and strange film that preserves the fragility of the beings that they come across.

SOPHIE ROGER
(Le Havre, France)
The work of Sophie Roger remains anchored to her most familiar territory, a corner of the Pays de Caux, to the north of her native Havre, where she lives and works in the field, not far from the cliff. From this intimate territory, her work continues to question the other side, her relationship with others, whoever they may be: friends, neighbours, people far away, people from the past, fictional characters, etc.
