Decasia

Year2002 Duration67 min. DirectorBill Morrison

Bill Morrison gathered damaged footage from old films to offer beautiful scrape of time on negatives, like the song of a swan. The soundtrack follows the thread with a priceless set of pianos out of tune and an orchestra lacking in coordination. The film is a feast of neglect, a celebration of devastation and decadence as if they were virtues in a film that appears as an endangered species.
