It begins, as the others do, with what seems to be a common hallmark when filming one’s own exile: a window and a gaze that interrogates the night. From there, looking out over that small abyss, Rafif, aged 16, offers a profound reflection through a restless camera that is constantly moving: when it comes – if it comes – the road back home will be a long road, a road she is already beginning to imagine and which she cannot see a final frame for.
