FEM

Year2007 Duration10 min. DirectorCampbell X

Spanish premiere

A lyrical and subversive experimental documentary turning images of femininity based on old mythologies and popular audiovisual culture upside down in the voice of Peggy Shaw, of Split Britches. In Fem, highly-standardised (threatening or hyper-sexualised) female icons become objects of desire and a visual feast for butch lesbians. A bold tribute to lesbian culture.
