For the first time in its history, the 9th edition of the Punto de Vista International Documentary Film Festival will have a Youth Jury, which will be made up of 50 young people between the ages of 18 and 25. Participation in the Youth Jury is voluntary and involves a commitment to attend the screening of all the films in the Official section, in their morning sessions, which will take place between 10th and 15th February 2015 at the Navarra Auditorium and Conference Centre, Baluarte.
Registration to form part of this Youth Jury is via the form on the Festival's website
by 15 January. If more than 50 young people register, the final selection will lie with the festival’s managing body.
The Youth Jury joins the Official Jury, which, like in previous editions, will be international and will be made up of experts and professionals of the sector, appointed by the Director General of Culture for the Government of Navarra. Her choice will be announced during the closing ceremony of the forthcoming edition of Punto de Vista.
The Youth Award for the Best Film is accompanied by 1,500 euros in prize money and is one of the festival’s special awards, along with the Special Public Award for the Best Film, also offering 1,500 euros in prize money and the Cerbère-Portbou Rencontres Cinématografiques Award, with 300 euros in prize money.
