DOKBIZIA: INTERDISCIPLINARY MEETING ON THE REAL
DOKBIZIA (which means ‘living documentary’ in Basque) is aimed at bringing together languages and artists concerned with the real. This new section at Punto de Vista Festival will have a different main theme every year. In 2018, its subtitle will be ‘Give me, then, a body’, serving as the programme’s backbone. Focusing on documentaries on the screen and beyond, the section will feature filmmakers, visual artists, philosophers and performers: Carlos Casas, Esperanza Collado, Idoia Zabaleta, Nicolás Pereda, and others.
SESSIONS AT THE PLANETARIUM
Two of Punto de Vista’s special sessions will take place at the Pamplona Planetarium.
On the weekend before the festival, there will be two family activities at the Planetarium. Entertainment and science to bring Punto de Vista closer to local families.

EXCHANGES: Letters as films
This book, edited by author and curator Francisco Algarín and Garbiñe Ortega, is based on the idea that the letters between filmmakers, sent or not, can give valuable insight into the history of film, not as time’s arrow but rather as a series of layers from various times and places, which is what history always is. The book contains letters written by Joris Ivens, Jean Vigo, George Franju, Stan Brakhage, Chick Strand and Marguerite Duras, among others.
