Punto de Vista Collection
Punto de Vista does not wish to be isolated from one of the present-day tragedies, that of the refugees, and in its next edition, there will be room for a series of short films shot first-hand by refugee girls at a camp in Jordan, which will be screened as the prelude to each session of the official section
Three well-known documentary film directors, Luis Ospina from Colombia, Claire Simon from France and José Luis Guerin from Spain, will be present in the programming of the 10th edition of Punto de Vista with special sessions of their latest films: It All Started at the End, The Wood Dream Are Made Of and Le Saphir de Saint-Louis. These three filmmakers join the Canadian filmmaker, Michael Snow, who will be the star of a special session with the screening of the masterpiece of experimental film, The Central Region, and he will also give a master-class in what is going to be the tenth anniversary of the Punto de Vista festival.
Nine full-length films and eight short films from 14 different countries will form part of The Central Region Official Section at the tenth edition of the Navarra Punto de Vista International Documentary Film Festival, which will be held from 8th to 14th February 2016.
Today, 15th December, the registration period for accreditations for the forthcoming edition of the Navarra International Documentary Film Festival, Punto de Vista, has opened. Registration is open until 29th January. Professionals and journalists wishing to obtain accreditation can do so via the festival’s website.
The Navarra International Film Festival has already revealed the first part of its competition programme with two recently finished, yet to be released films that will see the light at the Navarra festival. The 10th edition of Punto de Vista will include the premiere of the films Writing on the City, by Keywan Karimi and Oleg and the Rare Arts by Andrés Duque in its competitive Official Section. The rest of the titles that will form part of this section, which has been called The Central Region since last year, will be revealed in the middle of December.
