The 11th Punto de Vista Navarra International Film Festival is being held from 6 to 11 March 2017. For the first time, it is not being held in February but in March, in an effort to avoid clashes with other international film events. In addition, it will include a documentary theatre prelude on Sunday 5 March, just ahead of the opening ceremony.
Nine feature films and nine short films from 20 different countries will make up the Official Section - The Central Region of the eleventh edition of the Punto de Vista Navarra International Documentary Film Festival.
“Is there a culture in which drawing, the boundaries of the mountains, the border between the land and the emptiness of the sky has a name? Yes, the Basque culture. The name of the mountainside –egi, which means truth. But is there a truth before that truth of the mountainside? Logically. Before there was utseski, which means edge, frame of emptiness, which is why the first myth in Basque is that of the sky and then the earth”. Jorge Oteiza.
