Koldo Almandoz was born in Donostia-San Sebastián in 1973. He works as a journalist and a filmmaker, holding degrees in both disciplines. A regular contributor to several magazines, newspapers and radios, he has been editor-in-chief of the magazine the balde for the past 12 years. After graduating, Almandoz moved to New York to study film direction. Upon returning, he shot his first short film, Razielen itzulera (1997), premiered in the same year at the San Sebastián Film Festival as part of the Zabaltegi section. He has made several other short films and documentaries since then, including A dar ba kar (2000), Belarra (2002), Amuak (2004), Midori(2006), Columba Palumbus (2007), Msilale Wanawake (2012), Deus et Machina (2012) and Hubert Le Blon-en azken hegaldia (2014).

Özge Calafato studied Political Science in Istanbul and Journalism in London. Since 1999, she has worked as a journalist, editor and translator for several magazines focusing on photography, literature, contemporary art, film, jazz and travel. She has worked as an interpreter and reporter for several news publications and agencies, including the BBC World Serviceand The Wall Street Journal. In addition, she has authored five books and translated several others.
Calafato has worked for the Abu Dhabi Film Festival (ADFF) as Programming Manager and served as a selection committee member for SANAD, ADFF's Development and Post-Production Fund. She has also worked as a programmer and consultant for a number film festivals and institutions including Documentarist (Istanbul), Doha Film Institute, The Arab Fund for Arts and Culture (AFAC), DokuFest (Prizren, Kosovo), Arabian Film Days (Oslo), and Birds Eye View Film Festival (London). She is a co-founder and project director of the UAE National Film Library and Archive and a member of the publications committee for the online literary magazine altZine.net and e-book publisher altKitap.net. She currently lives in Abu Dhabi and works for the New York University Abu Dhabi.
Alexei Dmitriev was born in Leningrad, USSR in 1986. After graduating from the university as an English language and foreign literature teacher he co-founded Tour de Film — a company which organized screenings and festivals all over Russia. Entering the festival circuit in 2005 he kept working in experimental film since then. His films - Dubus (2005), Abstract(2009) and Hermeneutics (2012) - have been screened in Tribeca, Annecy, Edinburgh, Tampere plus some 300 festivals more. Right now he advices for Message to Man and Directors Lounge and finishes a new film.
Guillermo G. Peydró holds a PhD in Art History, non fiction cinema programmer and guest curator in Museum of Modern Art in Mexico DF. In his dissertation he focuses on essay films on art, analysing the forms of critical dialogue between film and the visual arts since the beginning of the twentieth century as well as its aesthetic, academic and political applications. He is the author of a dozen films on painting, sculpture, architecture, poetry or theater. His first two essay films, Las variaciones Guernica and El jardín imaginario, were premiered at Documenta Madrid 2012 and screened in many theatres, museums, universities and cultural centres in Europe, the Americas and Middle East. In 2014, he was invited to discuss his work at the Annual Meeting of the American Comparative Literature Association (ACLA) at New York University, at the City College of New York and at Bard College (New York).
