X Films Proyect 2016

A parish without a priest. Another priest is temporarily tending the congregation. He faces the Demon or even worse.

The festival hosts the world premiere of the project selected and made in 2016, Nuevo Altar (New Altar), by César Velasco Broca, director of Footsy (1996), Avant Pétalos Grillados (2006) or Nuestra amiga la luna (2017).

The film was produced during 2016 after Velasco Broca was chosen by Project X Films at the 2016 edition of Punto de Vista.


Velasco Broca presented his project along with those of the other two participating filmmakers, Carolina Astudillo and Xacio Baño, first in writing and then through two presentations by the creators. The committee praised Velasco's project "for its profoundly experimental character and the strength of its formal challenges".
