Pedro G. Romero is an artist. He also works as an exhibition curator, critic, art historian, writer, artistic director of dance — for example, with Israel Galván, since 1998 — and theatre, musicals director and, now, film director. He is a fan of flamenco, a condition he claims over other ways of doing things. His work, as well as in theatres and art galleries, has been shown at the Fundaciò Antoni Tápies, CA2M, Museo Picasso in Barcelona, MNCARS, Venice Biennale, Kunstvereim in Stuttgart, Sao Paulo Biennale, Bergen Assembley and Documenta in Kassel. He is founder and member of pie.flamenca, Independent Platform for Modern and Contemporary Flamenco Studies.
Programme of short pieces by Pedro G. Romero to be performed in conversation with the dancer Idoia Zabaleta and "YouTube en mano". This unorthodox session will show some of Pedro G. Romero's audiovisual work and will be interspersed with videos hosted on the platform where more than five hundred hours of content are shared every minute. The conversation will revolve around themes and interests common to both artists. "This afternoon, Idoia and Pedro will be having a conversation based on links. We will link conversations based on videos and lives, gestures, positions, dances and beats. The action of linking, as well as making connections, allows us to decorate with links, in other words, to enjoy ourselves". — Idoia Zabaleta.
