The Official Selection brings us one of the most daring views of the Festival.
This year the Official Selection is made up of ten programmes comprising thirty-two films (6 feature films and 26 short films) from twenty countries.
The Selection Committee for the Official Selection is integrated by Garbiñe Ortega, Nuria Cubas, Matías Piñeiro, María Palacios Cruz and Miguel Zozaya.
Andrea Lissoni, Idoia Zabaleta and Andréa Picard are the international programming delegates for Punto de Vista 2021.
The Youth Jury will present the Youth Award for the Best Film at the festival’s closing ceremony, which will be held in Pamplona on March 20th 2021.
PUNTO DE VISTA 2021 TRAILER, CREATED BY VALENTINA ALVARADO
Placing the focus on a bulb that is yet to sprout, and from which I will observe its uncertain daily growth. The roots move like jellyfish, will it stay shut, rot, bloom? I think about the word seed, in germinated, non-existent bodies, in daily cultivation. The possibilities of a constructed landscape: incorporating layers of paper, pieces of clay, lights and textures to this small, possible and crumpled, imagined location is a tactile act charged with care and patience.
LAS COSAS QUE NO FUERON TAMBIÉN SON
The image of the 15th edition of Punto de Vista represents the idea of the multiple nature of realities. Dani Sanchis’ contribution comprises five posters that trace new ways of relating with the landscape and with nature, in a year in which so many human and geographical encounters have been prevented. The designs are complemented with a verse from a poem by Joseba Sarrionandia (“Las cosas que no fueron también son”), which served as inspiration and refers to these current times of prohibitions and cancellations, the reconfiguration of spaces and ways of being with others.
