Punto de Vista Labs is a space for knowledge sharing and collective creation through workshops, conversations and conferences. In the last editions, it has attracted leading artists and filmmakers like Rabih Mroué, Simon Field, Isaki Lacuesta, Xabier Erkizia, Mónica Valenciano, Aurora Fernández Polanco, Ricardo Matos Cabo, Rick Prelinger, Luke Fowler and Carlos Casas. This year Alexander Horwath, María Palacios, Nicole Brenez, Manuel Asín, Pedro G. Romero and Idoia Zabaleta will be taking part.
Through relaxed conversations, we put into dialogue the practices and trajectories of two professionals. This format, which is part of the Punto de Vista Labs section, is intended as a relaxed meeting place in which to share reflections on film and other disciplines. This year Alexander Horwath and María Palacios, Nicole Brenez and Manuel Asín, and Pedro G. Romero and Idoia Zabaleta will be part of these conversations.
Garbiñe Ortega, Artistic Director of Punto de Vista, came up with the idea of creating a collective audiovisual project in which several filmmakers would make a filmed letter addressed to another filmmaker they did not know personally and who was as far as possible from their own cinema. This is how 'Las cartas que no fueron también son' was born.
