A water and woodland environment is the setting for ten small animals from different species to be born, grow, examine and chase each other around. In the water, a very small pike dreams of being gigantic, a young dragonfly wants to learn to fight and a salamander is desperate to get out of the water and explore another world. On the banks of the river, a beaver wishes to build the world his own way while a bittern intends to fly all the way to the moon. Over the trees, an owl leaps into flight and comes across a music-loving bat. As the sun finally comes up, some greater crested grebes are dancing, a kingfisher is searching for a place under the sun and a turtle stares in calm wonder at this busy world, defying the passing of time. Our ten adventurers admire the beauty of this world and feel lucky to be there. All of them shout Hello World to the nature all around them.
¡Buenos días, mundo! is a superbly documented journey through nature, examining paper fauna and flora that is, in turn, highly realistic. Nature takes us by the hand and helps us get to know the living things that call it home while teaching us to respect everything around us. This lovely exploration of our environment also teaches us about our own lives and the adventure of growing.
