Every year since 2010, Punto de Vista has been inviting filmmakers to prepare a documentary film essay project to be made in Navarre. The X Films Project is named after the production company based in Navarre set up by Juan Huarte in 1963 to produce films that “review a singular artistic interest”, where such artistic cinematographers as Jorge Oteiza, Néstor Basterretxea, Rafael Ruiz Balerdi and José Antonio Sistiaga, among many other creators, took their first steps. As a way to recover that spirit of patronage, the festival intends to offer emerging filmmakers the opportunity to create a new work while bringing new voices from the field of non-fiction to Navarre.
This year, Celia Viada Caso has been invited to prepare a project for development over the course of 2024 as a personal essay with a minimum duration of 20 minutes. The film will première at the next edition of Punto de Vista. This year will see the première of the 14th X Films film, Tránsitos, by Anna López Luna. Furthermore, the audience will be able to enjoy a session with some of the past work produced by Celia.
