ATS-3. CHIRP. PRITHVI.

With Guillem Serrahima Solà and Ramón del Buey Cañas (researchers).

Three vision machines (the ATS-3 satellite, the CHIRP algorithm and the PRITHVI model) make up the core of this conference. The goal is to approach the topic of artificial vision with regard to the self-observation of our planet. Since the 1960s, a series of technical systems has been enveloping the Earth while also shaping the image we have of our home planet. In a performative format, this conference offers a journey through some of those systems and their sense of the world. We will question the dichotomy between the organic and the artificial, and we will browse the images, worldviews, cosmopolitics and cosmotechnics that those vision machines have brought with them.
