Punto de Vista and NAPAR, the association of Navarre’s audiovisual producers, strengthen their cooperation by holding three round-table discussions: one about Production, a second one about Distribution and a third one to discuss Creation. Both members of NAPAR and attendees with credentials are welcome to participate in them, as they are meant to serve as a meeting point for authors, producers from Navarre, film-makers and festival guests.

Expert in the screen-based industry and award-winning documentary producer, Florence Girot has spent the last 20+ years working with a wide range of international players, such as FIAPF (International Federation of Film Producers Associations), Disney, Women in Animation, NewImages Festival, and the Canada Media Fund. Her career has involved various leadership roles with the constant objective to support creators and the industry, and to help them forecast and face new challenges. Based in Montreal, she supports the international festivals community as the Festivals Senior Director for FIAPF, while collaborating with key local stakeholders, such as the NFB or the GTAAQ. At the same time, she continues sharing her knowledge with students in Canada and France. Committed to supporting a greener screen industry, she is a Board Member of Producing for the Planet.

DISTRIBUTION: DANIELA HANUSOVÁ

Daniela Hanusová is a curator, festival organiser, and researcher. She is the project manager and head of acquisitions of the documentary VOD platform DAFilms.com and the executive director of ART*VR - Festival of Virtual Reality and Immersive Art. With academic background in Film Studies and Gender Studies, in her research she focuses on film festivals and their strategies for environmental sustainability, gender equality, diversity, and inclusion. 

CREATION: MIÑUCA VILLAVERDE AND FERNANDO VILLAVERDE

Miñuca Villaverde, Cuban director and writer. She worked as an actress and scriptwriter for several productions by the Instituto Cubano de Cine (ICAIC), highlights among which include “El parque” (1963, documentary) and “Elena” (1964, fiction). After going into exile in 1965, she directed short films including “Blanca Puntica, a girl in love” (1973, Individual Independent Fellowship Award of the Creative Artists’ Program Service, CAPS), “To my father” (1973) and “Poor Cinderella, still ironing her husband shirt” (1978), linked to the experimental film scene in New York. Her documentary “Tent City” (1980), about a refugee encampment during the Mariel exodus, is one of the most acclaimed films from the Cuban diaspora. She has published the books “Fue una gran fiesta” (2009, with Fernando Villaverde) and “Los días de la coleccionista” (2010).

Miñuca Villaverde, Cuban director and writer. He was a film-maker at the Instituto Cubano de Cine (ICAIC), where he directed the short films “El parque” (1963, documentary) and “Elena” (1964, ficción), as well as the fiction feature film “El mar”, production of which was interrupted by the censors. After going into exile in 1965, he was linked to the experimental film scene in New York, making short films like “Apollo, man to the moon” (1970) and “A Lady’s Home Journal” (1972). Highlights among his books include “Los labios pintados de Diderot” (Premio Letras de Oro, 1992) and “La irresistible caída del muro de Berlín” (2016).
