For 15 years, the Neozoon collective of filmmakers has been carrying out a distinctive interpretation of social media and of the citizens who populate and sustain it. Through astonishing rhythmic and collagist re-edits, they delve into collective social behaviours, dissecting their self-representations and obsessions, moving between amusement and discomfort, grappling with concepts such as faith, virility, sadism and the complex relationships between human beings and other animals. Their astute gaze and editing techniques dissect the deluge of online expressions to form a limitless mosaic of micro screens, a cathartic mirror of our society.
