NEOZOON will lead a colloquium featuring film excerpts and a talk on their artistic development and creative methods. In dialogue with the audience, they will reflect on found and archival material, as well as on social, political, and ecological narratives.
In this session, NEOZOON will hold a talk combining film excerpts with a debate on their artistic development and working methods. Drawing on selected works, the artists will reflect on their long-term engagement with found footage, archival material, and digital image cultures, as well as their interest in social, political, and ecological narratives.
The presentation will focus on how research-based processes, montage strategies, and sound structures shape their films, and how recurring themes such as power, ownership, competition, and human-animal relations have evolved across different projects.
The session is conceived as an open talk-based format, allowing space for discussion and exchange with the audience.
