Celia Viada Caso | Filmmaker X Films 2024
Celia Viada Caso (Madrid, 1991) is a filmmaker and visual anthropologist. Her work fluctuates between non-fiction and experimental film while also producing video installations, music videos and live pieces. In her work, she explores the recovery and resignification of archiving, and tackles topics that connect time, memory, body and territory. She obtained a Degree in Anthropology and Media from Goldsmiths, University of London and has completed the Master in Creative Documentary at UPF Barcelona.
Her first full-length film La Calle del Agua won seven awards on its release at the Gijon International Film Festival (FICX 2020), including the FIPRESCI Award for Best Director, the ALMA Award for Best Script and the Audience Award. She is currently working on her second full-length film entitled Un verano sin pájaros. Gregoria is her first short documentary film.
