El sexto Sol (Planetary)

El Sexto Sol is an immersive movie experience, performed live, exploring the cosmovision, nature, the need for man to make sense of the world in order to understand its process of creation and, therefore, to be in a position to control it and... destroy it. The audiovisual score is composed for different instruments / interpreters of sounds and images.

This piece of expanded cinema is designed for a specific 360º projection device set in planetariums, and will be performed by some filmmakers and musicians, exploring improbable landscapes of suns, moons, planets, constellations and other elements of the cosmos and proposing a return trip towards a future myth of creation.

Paisaia

PAISAIA includes the most recent works on the Basque-Navarra scene, within the documentary film area that is more open to exploring and experimenting with aesthetic and narrative forms.

In this edition, the theme line linking the different films at the festival is the reflection on the passage of time and its effects, from very different formal approaches and perspectives: going back over events of the past; analysing changes that entail transformations in the landscape; shedding metaphorical light on our current inclinations and trends; or addressing generational differences as a manner of understanding affectionate relationships at different periods in time.

Robert Beavers

Robert Beavers (Brookline, Massachusetts, 1949) is an American experimental filmmaker. He left Deerfield Academy in 1965 before graduating to move to New York to make movies. He lived in New York until 1967 when he and his partner, Gregory Markopoulos, left the United States for Europe. Although in the seventies and eighties his films were rarely shown, in recent years many institutions have made retrospectives of his work: the Tate Modern in London, the Whitney Museum in New York, the Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive in Berkeley and the Filmmuseum in Vienna, among many others.
