Cristina Cámara Bello
Cristina Cámara is an art historian and curator. Since 2006, she is responsible for the Film and Video Collection at the Museo Reina Sofía. She has been part of the curatorial team of exhibitions organized by the museum such as Territories and Fictions. Thinking a New Way of the World (2016-2017); and Minimal Resistance. Between Late Modernism and Globalization: Artistic Practices during the 80s and 90s (2013-2014). Her research focuses on the moving image, the history behind, collecting and exhibition issues. Her most recent curatorial projects have been Val del Omar. The Mechanical Mysticism of Cinema (Museo Reina Sofía, 2019) and Rosa Barba. Drawn by the Pulse (Tabakalera, 2018). She lives and works in Madrid.
Dario has a wide experience in several roles in film promotion, production and programming. He was one of the founders of Curtas Vila do Conde Festival; and he directed it from 1993 to 2013. He has also curated and coordinated film programmes, seminars and exhibitions for several festivals and institutions. Dario managed the programme Estaleiro, a project where cinema students and young cinema professionals worked together with experienced directors and produced more than ten documentaries. He was cinema co-programmer in Porto 2001 European Capital of Culture, which had its central focus in “Festival Odisseia das Imagens” (Odyssey of the Images Festival), a project dedicated to documentary cinema that has been an inspiration to Porto/Post/Doc. He has taught at various schools and universities in Porto.
Nathalie Trafford was born in Chile and has spent her childhood in Spain. After graduating at the Lycée Français in Madrid, she settles in Paris to study Art History at the Sorbonne University. Simultaneously, she discovers the world of cinema working as an assistant in French and Spanish shootings. In 1996, she sets up Paraíso Production Diffusion in France. Nathalie Trafford conceives her production career as a way of building bridges among cultures and countries, looking for directors with a strong and personal approach to filmmaking. To date, she has produced nine features as delegate or co-producer—Léa by Bruno Rolland, El telón de azúcar by Camila Guzmán, and Machuca by Andres Wood, among others—and thirty shorts.
