17 documentaries in competition at the Punto de Vista film festival

Eleven feature films and six short films from eleven different countries will make the Official Selection at the Navarra International Documentary Film Festival – Punto de Vista, to be held in Pamplona from 19 to 24 February 2013. The Festival is organised by INAAC Foundation for the Government of Navarra.

The selected films will be candidates to win the Punto de Vista Grand Award for Best Film (€10,000), the Jean Vigo Award for Best Director (€5,500) and the Award for Best Short Film (€3,500). In addition, there will be a People’s Choice Award (€2,500) and two optional Honourable Mentions, granted by the Jury (€1,250 each).

The members of the Selection Committee were Josetxo Cerdán (Punto de Vista Artistic Director), Gonzalo de Pedro (Punto de Vista Programming Coordinator), Miguel Fernández Labayen (faculty, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid), Elena Oroz (documentary film journalist) and Maite Bermúdez (filmmaker).
