This time an island within a lake in Nicaragua: Ometepe Island, which means “two mountains” in Nahuatl. Here, the approach to paradise reaches the summit, the place where perhaps the volcano hides the last of the questions: where does the wind come from? Each shot on this island is a question. Each second is a lost eternity. An initial horizontal reading shows us the island from left to right, with a camera that licks the land, showing its banana crops, its fears of lava and its parties with deafening drums. Then, it moves vertically to climb up to the top and finish off with the mysteries of its perpetual clouds. Nothing is left out of this paradise that seems that someone is forever trapped between wakefulness and sleep.
