Sinopsis

This is a first person essay on kleptomania, with Winona Ryder as a mirror of the author, who turns the film into a personal confession on the fine line that separates the tendency to shoplift and depression. A film about theft that is built using images stolen from other films.

Jem Cohen

Jessica Bardsley is a film artist whose work has screened across the U.S. and internationally at festivals like RIDM, CPH:DOX, Visions du Réel, Antimatter Film Festival, European Media Arts Festival, Kasseler Dokfest, Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin/Madrid, Rooftop Films and more. She has won awards such as the Grand Prix at 25FPS and the Eileen Maitland Award at the Ann Arbor Film Festival. She is a PhD student in Film and Visual Studies at Harvard University.
