Near the summit of the Annapurna, one of the world’s highest mountains, there is a man in the throes of death. Someone in his rope team raises the alarm, and a team of mountain rescue experts from over ten different countries come to aid the dying climber. This film gives a detailed account of the four-day rescue efforts out of the mouth of the protagonists. It also answers the question we ask ourselves when we see the amazing response of solidarity between mountaineers from all over the world: Who is that man? He is Iñaki Ochoa de Olza Seguín, one of the best Himalayan explorers ever. Iñaki was an exceptional man beyond the summits he climbed, and so were the members of the rescue team who tried to save his life. They all experience life in the only way they can: intensely and honestly.
