Karl Kels, born 1960 in Dusseldorf; 1980-85 studied at the Städelschule, Frankfurt/M.; 1993 taught at the Gesamthochschule Kassel; work in the field of experimental film and installation; 1995 co-founder of the «Initiative Experimentalfilm»; 1996 taught at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität, Frankfurt/M.; lives and works in Frankfurt/M.
