While shamans (folk doctors in the Americas) have gained prestige in the field of healthcare, druids druids (wise men from Celtic Europe) have been disappearing in the Old Continent. Diego Arregui, a contemporary druid, encourages the exchange of knowledge with those wise men in the Amazonas, in the state of Acre, Brazil.

This cultural exchange in the form of medicinal plants, inviting reflection on the protection of our planet, will enrich the experiences of the European druid, the American shamans and men at a global level. The documentary, Druidas y Chamanes, aims to act as a vehicle to pass on this wise knowledge “and raise people’s awareness of the call of the land”, which we hardly ever hear amongst so much noise and rushing around.

Patxi Uriz Domezáin (Puente la Reina) is a photo journalist. He is the recipient of several photo awards, like the National Geographic Spain Award or the Gourmand World Cookbook Award (2010, 2008. He also worked as a cameraman, shooting corporate videos and events.

Axel O’Mill Tubau is a filmmaker with a 15-year experience. He studied at Escuela Superior de Cinematografía (Film College) in Buenos Aires. He now shoots films for Gamesa, Ana Montoro Foundation, Kanaki Films, the Navarra School of Drama and Arena Comunicación, among other clients.
