Song about a flower

Sapovnela is "the flower that no-one can find". In this audiovisual poem, Iosseliani sings to the beauty of the flowers in a secluded garden. The director highlights the splendour of their colours, turning to colour for the first time ever. And he gives a voice to the petals with his beloved traditional music from Georgia. A staging that is ahead of its time, he proposes a hypnotic floral choreography that culminates in a devastating outcome based on the dominant effects caused by civilization when bursting into nature.
