Just by seeing the shot of the old Lithuanian woman who is enjoying the air on her face with her eyes closed and a look of satisfaction from the heights of the bell tower in her village… it is worth kneeling down to watch this film. Then there are the men who are repairing a roof and a guard from his high tower watching life ant size. They are all inhabiting heights with the luck of epiphany in the background, a kind of friendly challenge of gravity and the enjoyment of air as we say in the title of this programme. Winter and the Lithuanian countryside help to transmit this proximity to the vault of heaven. When the snow has eliminated almost all of the traces of the earth, ascension only remains. An angelical silent black and white film is used with the lyrical outlook of Audrius Stonys, who has already visited Punto de Vista to speak to us about silence and is now back to give us a breath of air.
