There is a story of the world that is not usually told: the story of the body and the city. The author, Fernando Pagola, tells us: "In the place where I grew up, the fronton is the model of the world. Its walls are the seeds of architecture; the pelota player is its myth, its hero. The two form a kind of collective soul that represents a heritage that is not only sporting but essentially cultural and social. Abstraction and figuration. Stone and flesh”. The images show the movement of the pelota player on the court. The language is simple, abstract and with clear references to the 19th century pioneers, Marey and Muydbrige. The movement is generated with the distortion of the body itself, like Kerstez had already suggested in 1932. Sound is the only reference element to strengthen the presentation of the place. The athlete’s body without any adornment. The space without references. Greece and the Basque world. The myth. Stone and flesh
