Amor siempre

For some time, Gloria, my 82-year-old grandmother, has shared her home with my cousin Maria. Gloria has been a widow for the last 16 years, she is very Catholic, has never talked about sex or love with any of her relations, and even less so with her small granddaughter.

Maider Fernández Iriarte (Donostia, 1988) is a filmmaker and teacher. She is currently finalising her first feature film "Las letras de Jordi", winner of the Ikusmira Berriak award 2017 at the San Sebastian Festival. She combines this work with tutorials for the Creative Documentary Master's Degree at the UAB, her involvement in Cinema en curs, the Videorrabaleras project for MACBA, and the workshop Todas las ciudades posibles, developed together with Aitor Gametxo for Punto de Vista. She studied the Master's Degree in Creative Documentary Filmmaking at the Universidad Pempeu Fabra (Barcelona) and worked at the CICC Tabakalera mediation department. She was part of the group Las chicas de Pasaik, whose works have been recognised and exhibited in a number of festivals.
