Avalanche is a site specific audiovisual installation, with live music soundtrack and live editing. Avalanche trans- ports the spectator to Hichigh, one of the world’s highest inhabited villages, located in the Pamirs a mountain range that divides Tajikistan and Afghanistan, and one of the most unexplored and remote regions in the world; the Pamirs are as mysterious as fascinating, home of some of the most archaic and well kept ancient traditions. Avalanche is a site specific project, created and developed according to the venue, festival or space that welcomes it. For its tenth reincarnation for Punto de Vista, it features a collaboration with sound artist and musician Xabi Erkizia, during the week of the festival, the venue and old Gunpowder storage room (polvorin) becomes an open laboratory and rehearsal room with live edit and audiovisual improvisation sessions.
