Cat Power - From Fur City

CountryUSA Year2002 Duration4 min. DirectionJem Cohen EditorJem Cohen

Cat Power wrote this song in homage to ‘Benjamin,’ the Atlanta musician who is the subject of the film Benjamin Smoke. Cat was an old and dear friend of his, both having musically come of age in the trenches of the Atlanta underground music scene. Jem Cohen and Peter Sillen documented her live performance of the song at a Brooklyn music hall.
