We are in Yerevan, Armenia. It´s a city, a country always in constant change, where yesterday´s monuments are tomorrow´s ruins. We are in Yerevan, where some children play and fight in the street. We are in Yerevan, but we can hardly see bits and pieces, like an intermittent jigsaw, like lost fragments of a country that is impossible to portrait in its entirety. We are in Yerevan, a chaotic and incomplete world.

Comes Chahbazian. "I am of that earth that I have never known. As with so many children of the Armenian diaspora, I was raised with the images of a country that are maintained by cultural and community memory. Beyrouth was the place of my childhood, Brussels, the place of my teenage years and now adulthood. Yerevan is the place that I carry within me, never touched, never known. Ici-Bas (Down Here), my latest film, was the opportunity to realise this encounter".
