The truth is just a group of pixels, the result of a digital boom on blurred faces. And the camera filming the members of a public jury, facing a murder trial, is as lost as they are in the labyrinth of evidence, images and declarations, unable to film anything that is not of its own decomposition.

Virginia García del Pino

Virginia García del Pino Film director and project director of on the UAB Documentary Master’s Course. After graduating in Fine Arts, her production as a video artist brings her to the documentary genre. Her films, of resounding formal simplicity, arise from an attempt to understand human behaviour and in doing so, her films float between optimism and a disturbingly tragic background. In 2008, she won several awards for What You Say I Am, the documentary which opened the doors to numerous international film festivals, although her short films still participate in contemporary art exhibitions. With My Sister and I (2009), she participated in the 5th edition of the Punto de Vista Festival. Her latest production, The Jury, is her first full-length film.
