Eight minutes to portray a neighbouring poet on the Orkney Islands, Scottsman, Hugh MacDiarmid. “A study of a 71-year-old poet”, is how Tait defined this new portrait, which includes a visit to the poet’s house and his bookshelves, the poet in the pub, the poet reading his poems:  What am I? You don't know… and The Kind of Poetry I Want… and the poet learning to walk the tight-rope and as an eternal child. As always with Tait, water is present.
