Made 10 years ago for the re-release of his film Guipúzcoa (1980), this brief biographical testimony revealed and recorded for posterity the man who was Pío Caro Baroja in a unique unprecedented document. In a long interview, Pío Caro Baroja talks about his adventures when filming (years of loading heavy filming equipment onto the backs of donkeys to climb up the steepest mountains), his emotions and experiences, and his work as an ethnographer behind the lens. This is Pío the filmmaker in Bera, shown in his large old house in Itzea, recollecting in his amiable and very human way the work to which he dedicated himself body and soul.
