He turned a virtually unknown sport into a collective passion. He established a bookstore. He was a doctor. He could have been a senator, or a university professor, or could have amassed a fortune as Pamplona’s most popular paediatrician. But there he was, after travelling across Europe in pursuit of excellence, in a school courtyard, selflessly training young athletes.
He was “the doctor.” He was my father. But they knew him better than myself.
Why?
Jesús López-Sanz Echarren (J. Coyote) was born in Pamplona. He studied Filmmaking (CEI), History, and Art (Spanish University of Distance Learning, UNED), and founded Películas de la madrugada, the group he made his first short films with. After a few years in the advertising and media business, he is back in the film industry with the production company Coyote Multimedia and his first feature film, El doctor / The Doctor.
