For over 20 years, José Manuel Andoin, lighthouse keeper, lived in Santa Clara Island, some 500 metres off the coast of San Sebastián, with his mother, María Torralbo. Just the two of them, isolated from society. Ur artean tells the story of their puzzling relationship – a strong mother and a dutiful son with a parallel life as an Olympic athlete fallen into oblivion.
