Iván Torres Hernández (Madrid, 1981) studied filmmaking in Madrid and then moved to Scotland, where he went into the field of performance and Live Visuals, developing various projects for record labels and contemporary dance companies. He took his first steps into documentary film when he settled in Finland. His first work was a radio piece for the BBC. New projects came along and Iván combined them with performances and various camera works in Berlin and Paris. Since then, this young filmmaker has made films, such as A Different Map (2009), Eric by Mrs. Dolphy (2010), Shipwreck (2012) and The Length (2014).
