Marina Díaz López

A Philosophy and Letters graduate from the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM), PhD in Art History, Marina Díaz López works as a technical expert in film and video at the Department of Cultural Activities of Instituto Cervantes in Madrid. Her job has to do with the cultural promotion of Spanish films at the international level.

Marina is a member of the research team on Film Studies and Audio Visual Culture at UAM. With Alberto Elena, she is the editor of two books on Latin American film: Tierra en trance. El cine latinoamericano en 100 películas (Alianza Editorial, 1999) and 24 Frames. Latin American Cinema (Wallflower Press, 2002). In addition, she has written numerous articles on the history of Spanish films for books and specialist magazines.

She is a regular contributor to Spanish and Latin American film magazines like Secuencias. Revista de Historia del Cine (Maya/UAM), Studies in Hispanic Cinemas (Intellect Books), El ojo que piensa. Revista de cine iberoamericano (Universidad de Guadalajara) and Revista Área Abierta (Universidad Complutense de Madrid).
