In its seventh edition, Punto de Vista is bringing films together by reducing the number of screening venues. In its seventh edition, Punto de Vista is bringing films together by reducing the number of screening venues. If last year the main venue was the Palacio de Condestable, in the old town, this time most films will be screened in the SAIDE Carlos III cinemas, just a pebble’s throw from the main venue itself.

In an effort to make it easier to attend most films (up to four sessions a day) and improve organisation, Punto de Vista is using three cinemas for the usual festival sections (Official Selection, “Heterodocsias,” “La Región Central”/”The Central Region,” Retrospectives, Special Sessions), as well as press screenings and morning meetings with filmmakers.

The Palacio de Condestable will serve as a meeting point for accredited visitors, housing press conferences, panels, screenings, and the closing ceremony on Sunday, February 27.

Sitting on Calle Mayor, the sixteenth-century palace first reopened in 2009 after the full renovation that restored its status of key cultural and civic centre in Pamplona.

SAIDE Carlos III is a cinema complex in the heart of town, whose five screens are equipped with state-of-the-art audiovisual technology. All Punto de Vista events will be held in screens 3, 4, and 5, seating 400, 110, 127, respectively. They all feature big screens and digital sound systems. Moreover, their projection rooms are ready to install all kinds of audiovisual equipment, which means they can screen contents in all the media available.
