Fernando Franco will create the trailer for the 2011 edition
In line with the festival’s intention to support young artists, film director and editor Fernando Franco has been commissioned to create the trailer for next year’s edition, a short video to be screened as a prelude to every session in the festival. In 2010, the trailer’s author was Basque filmmaker Victor Iriarte.
Fernando Franco has been working as an editor of feature films for ten years. He has edited over 15 titles. In 2007 he embarked in his first project as a director, and has directed five short films, three fiction films, and two found-footage films. He is head of the Editing Department at the School of Film Studies of the Community of Madrid (Ecam) and a regular scholar at the International School of Film and TV (EICTV) of San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba. His latest works include Les variations Dielman (2010) and Room (2010).
