The two Spanish films that entered competition at Punto de Vista 2011 have embarked on a world tour, being screened at international film festivals and forums. True Love (Ion de Sosa, 2011), which showed at the Buenos Aires International Independent Film Festival (Bafici), México’s Distrital: Cine y otros mundos, or Las Palmas de Gran Canaria International Film Festival, closed Cine Esquema Novo in Porto Alegre, Brazil, on April 30.

As to Colour Runaway Dog (Andrés Duque, 2011), winner of the People’s Choice Award at Punto de Vista 2011, it had its international premiere at the International Film Festival Rotterdam and then it was screened at the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria International Film Festival, REC-Tarragona International Film Festival, and Santiago de Chile International Documentary Film Festival (FIDOCS). In addition, it has been shown in various cultural centres in Spain: La Casa Encendida (Madrid), Centre de Cultura Contemporànea de Barcelona (CCCB), Basque Museum and Centre for Contemporary Art (ARTIUM, Vitoria-Gasteiz). Likewise, the film by Andrés Duque has been shortlisted for the Viennale 2011 (Vienna, Austria), opening on October 20 –one of the most interesting independent film events in Europe.
