The retrospective Tupi or not Tupi. Cannibals vs. Vampires starts today at Punto de Vista with the screening of three films.

Are the colonized cultures able of revert the globalization and take advantage of the dominant culture? Is the cinema able of show this process to the audience? How could we end up with the victimism and the arrogance inherent to these fussion processes between different cultures? With these questions and the Oswald de Andrade's 'Cannibal Manifesto' as a guide, Punto de Vista kicks off today the retrospective Tupi or Not Tupi, screening, at 5.30 p.m., brazilian Andrea Tonacci's Serras da Desordem, and at 10.30 p.m., Don Featherstone's Babakiueria, and Mika Kaurismaki's Tigrero, with Jim Jarmusch and Sam Fuller as leading characters.
