15th February is the deadline to sign up for the International Punto de Vista Seminar, with the film-makers Sylvain George and Amir Muhammad, who will be in Pamplona to present their films, talk to members of the audience and reflect on their films, which are militant, political and committed.
The Seminar, organised to make up for the absence of the festival in 2012, aims to create a space for reflection, debate and awareness about the task and challenges faced by realist film-making in times of crisis. Whilst still celebrating film and cinema, the aim of this new proposal is to create a different space, which helps us to tackle the hard times we have to face.
The Seminar will include a new edition of the X Films Project as well as the presentation of the film created as part of the 2011 edition of the project, Behetik gora eta goitik behera, bottom up and top down, from the artistic collective WeareQQ, made up of Usue Arrieta and Vicente Vázquez.
As part of the seminar, there will also be a surprise showing of the latest film by a Spanish film-maker with close links to the festival which has not yet opened in Spain. This showing will only be available to people who have signed up to the seminar.
The number of places available is limited, so the organisers will give priority to requests from professionals from the world of film and audiovisual creation, as well as university students. The registration fees are as follows:
- €95, for registrations made before 20th January.
- €120, for registrations made after 20th January.
Registration includes entry to all showings and lunch on Wednesday 22nd, Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th, as well as the coffee break on all three days.
Should you not wish to attend the lunches, the registration fees are as follows:
- €50 for registrations made between 20th January and 15th February.
- €75 for registrations made between 20th January and 15th February.
