The award-winning films from the seventh edition of Punto de Vista (held between 22th and 27th February of 2011) can be seen in A Coruña and Murcia over the following weeks.
During the last week of February 2012, there will be a selection of films that premièred at Punto de Vista shown at the Tribute to Punto de Vista exhibition being held at the Centro Galego de Artes da Imaxe (CGAI), including True Love (Ion de Sosa, 2011), as well as the winners of the last edition of the festival: Foreing Parts (J.P. Sniadecki, Verena Paravel, 2010) Punto de Vista Grand Prize; The Arbor (Clio Barnard, 2010) Jean Vigo Award; Color perro que huye (Andrés Duque, 2010) Audience Award; and 48 (Susana de Sousa, 2009) and Ici-Bas (Comes Chahbazian, 2010), both of which received special mentions by the judges.
Furthermore, the City of Murcia International Film Festival (IBAFF) will be showing the winning film from Punto de Vista 2011 as part of its Festival Exhibition section, in which, every year, the Murcia Film Festival shows a selection of films from other similar festivals. The IBAFF theme for 2012 is Travel and Creation and will pay tribute to the Iranian film-maker Abbas Kiarostami who will also be leading a workshop at the Puertas de Castilla Centre for Contemporary Culture.
