Patrick Viret, director of the Rencontres Cinématographiques in Cerbère-Portbou, in which the best documentary film festivals in France have been participating for over a decade, has decided to include the Punto de Vista Festival in future editions. This event takes place every October in the historic Hotel Belvédère du Rayon Vert in the French border town. At this event, each festival chooses one short film and one feature-length film from among those shown at its own programmes, two outstanding offerings to present that year to audiences at Cerbère-Portbou. Cinéma du Réel del Centro Pompidou, FID Marseille, and Cinémaginaire de Argelès-sur-mer are regular contributors to this event, which also features L´Alternativa del CCCB-Barcelona.

In 2014, Punto de Vista will have the opportunity to contribute two of the films shown at the II Punto de Vista Seminar or at one of the seasons organised in 2014 to Cerbére. Les Rencontres Cinématographiques de Cerbère-Portbou held at the beginning of this month its ninth edition, where the public could watch films like Ivo VInuesa’s Velocitat, Jacky Evrard and Côme Mosta-Heirt’s Les parleuses or Matthieu Chatallier’s Slow.
