Oskar Alegria, director of Emak Bakia baita/La casa Emak Bakia (screening on Wednesday 20), is presenting a very special exhibition. Opening tomorrow, this exhibition shows some of the objects found during the shooting of the film – items going from the screen to the display cabinet to create an additional space for the documentary.

Opening tomorrow, this exhibition shows some of the objects found during the shooting of the film – items going from the screen to the display cabinet to create an additional space for the documentary.

Among other things, the visitor will find the model of a private jet made in France, the lucky nose of a Felliniesque clown, a photo of Chaplin’s smile during his summer holidays in Bidart, a couple of letters to a mother from hell in Sachsenhausen, the secrets of a tombstone engraver’s dustbin in Bayonne, 37 elephants from the figurine collection of a Rumanian princess, a tapestry showing Akaba, Kpengla, Dakodonou and other kings of Dahomey, the image of the childhood forest of a suicidal philosopher, two wooden sculptures carved by the waves of the Atlantic Ocean, a feather from a pheasant’s tail sent from the Oglala Sioux Reservation, 34 eyelids of sleeping Parisians encountered by chance, an unpublished poem to old cats, the rubber feet of a dead-word musician, a biography under the title of And Now, Leave Me Alone.

The exposition will be open from Tuesday 19 to Sunday 24 in Civivox Condestable from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Entrance is free and Oskar Alegria hará will do guided tours from Tuesday to Friday at 6 p.m.
